Adira Renewables is an one stop shop solutions provider in the renewables industry. We provide in-house, tailormade solutions for our clients, covering a wide spectrum of activities like horizontal directional drilling, near shore cable installation, offshore substation commissioning services, onshore/nearshore heavy lifting, transport, towage and storage.

We also provide solutions for rock berm foundation installation as part of port development projects. Our two Singapore based construction yards are specialised in the construction of new build or modification of barges and vessels, primary and secundairy offshore steel constructions and custom build project equipment for cable and rock installation scopes.

1. Horizontal Directional Drilling

  • Thaitan International Pte. Ltd. (TIPL), a subsidiary of Adira Renewables, part of the Kim Heng Group provides a integrated package of Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) services for beach landings & cable crossings for both power cables & optic cables.

 

  • Thaitan International has a large track record of HDD projects across the Asian region. We have installed the HDD’s for export cable crossings for the Yunlin, Changfang/Xidao and Chong Neng offshore wind farm projects.

2. Export Cable Laying Barge

  • Adira Renewables supported the nearshore export cable installation for the Greater Changhua wind farm project. The Kim Heng 186 barge was modified with two spuds, a 4-point mooring system, and a 150 tonnes crawler crane, for installation of the export cable in shallow water

 

  • Adira Renewables is developing a DP2 cable lay barge equipped with a 3000-5000 ton turntable for nearshore export cable and interconnector installation projects. Besides the DP2 system of Kongsberg, the cable lay barge will also be equipped with a 6-point mooring system and will therefore have unique nearshore capabilities.

3. Offshore Substation Commissioning Services

  • Adira Renewables has provided manpower, procurement, equipment supply and logistic support for commissioning services for the offshore sub-station topside of the Taiwan Greater Changhua offshore windfarm project.

4. Wind Turbine Installation

  • Adira Heavy Lift, a subsidiary of Adira Renewables has installed a total of 26 towers and WTG’s for the Hoa Binh 5 onshore wind farm project in Vietnam. For the installation a 1250 tonnes crawler

 

  • Crane with a maximum lifting height of 168 m has been used.

 

  • For the Tan Phu Dong 1 nearshore wind farm, the 1250 tonnes crawler crane of Adira Heavy Lift operated from a barge to install the 24 towers and WTG’s in the intertidal area of Hoa Binh coast line.

Kim Heng Business

Offshore Renewable Construction

HDD entails the implementation of a dirigible, trenchless technique and design for the installation of underground cables and pipelines. Kim Heng being an experience turnkey HDD contractor, is capable to undertake the seamless integration of Front End Engineering Design (FEED) by offering a one stop solution on outfall projects. 

Marine Construction

Upon confirmation on the types of foundations to be used at site, Kim Heng can undertake the full turnkey construction project in our very own fabrication shipyards which are equipped with modern construction facilities and machineries to fabricate customized large steel structures and equipment. 

Shipbuilding & Engineering

As part of a good maintenance program throughout the entire project lifespan, Kim Heng can provide self-constructed, locally flagged and operated CTV vessels and offshore support vessels equipped with walk to work gangway to ferry GWO-trained service engineers and technicians to service offshore wind turbine operation.
